HYDRO PROJECTS

  PATIKARI HYDRO ELECTRIC PROJECT :

2 X 8 MW Patikari Hydro Electric Project was developed by Patikari Power Project Limited and located on BhakliKhad River in Mandi District, Himachal Pradesh. Energy Infratech in consortium with CKD Blanskostrojirnya.s, Czech Republic was selected as EPC contractor for the design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of E&M equipment. Energy Infratech was leader of the consortium and was responsible for the complete engineering of E&M equipment and CKD BlanskoStrojirnya.s supplied the Turbines and Generators for the Project.

Both the units were successfully commissioned and tested and operated beyond 110 percent capacity. Units were synchronized and connected to Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Grid on 6thFebruary, 2008
.

  MALANA II HYDRO ELECTRIC PROJECT :


Everest Power Private Limited is developing 2 X 50 MW Malana II Hydro Electric Project. The project is located in Kullu District, Himachal Pradesh. Energy Infratech is providing Engineering Services, Construction Supervision and Project Management services for the project.



2 X 2.5 MW Sainj Hydro Electric Project is being developed by Himashakthi Project Private Limited. Sainj Hydro Electric Project is located on Sainj Khad, tributary of river Yamuna in Shimla District, Himachal Pradesh. Energy Infratech is providing engineering and project management services and responsible for all engineering activities including preconstruction investigations, preparation of Detailed Project Report, detailed engineering, tender drawings and technical specifications, providing technical support during acquisition of all statutory clearances and construction supervision.

The Project is successfully Commissioned and Synchronized on 14th January 2010. All project components were successfully completed within the schedule time. Both Unit were synchronized and connected to HPSEB Grid (Shillai Sub Station). The spinning of both units of 2.5 MW each has successfully carried out at 100% load.

  TEESTA III HYDRO ELECTRIC PROJECT :

Teesta Urja Limited has been awarded the 6x200 MW Teesta Stage III hydro power project on BOOT basis, for a period of 35 years by Government of Sikkim (GoS). GoS is also a joint venture partner in the project. The project contemplates construction of a 60m high Concrete Face Rokfill Dam across the main Teesta River located at a distance of 400m downstream of the confluence of Lachen Chu and Lachung Chu near the village Chungthang in the North Sikkim district.
Energy Infratech is providing Concept to Commissioning Services including Pre-construction stage investigations, preparation of Pre-Feasibility Report, preparation of Detailed Project Report, Preparation of tender documents and drawings, assistance in acquisition of clearances, assistance in bid and award of EPC Contract, Detailed Design, Construction services and Project Management.

 

Lohit Urja Private Limited is developing Demwe Upper Hydro Electric Power Project in Arunachal Pradesh. The project is located on the Lohit River, Arunachal Pradesh. Energy Infratech is providing Concept to Commissioning Services including Pre-construction stage investigations, preparation of Pre-Feasibility Report, preparation of Detailed Project Report, Preparation of tender documents and drawings, assistance in acquisition of clearances, assistance in bid and award of EPC Contract, Detailed Design, Construction services and Project Management.

A revised DPR with composite dam (Concrete and CFRD) is being prepared. The project comprises of a Concrete Gravity and CFRD dam complex of length 365.33m and of height of 130m from the deepest bed level and Rectangular forebay type power intake. Water conductor System consists of five numbers of 9.3m diameter horse shaped tunnels to feed water to five units 206MW and another small unit of 50MW turbines housed in the underground power house on the right bank of River Lohit.

The revised DPR with composite dam is being prepared and will be submitted by March 2012.


Athena Demwe Power Limited is developing Demwe Lower Hydro Electric Power Project in Arunachal Pradesh. The project is located in the Lohit River, Arunachal Pradesh.

Energy Infratech is providing Concept to Commissioning Services including Pre-construction stage investigations, preparation of Pre-Feasibility Report, preparation of Detailed Project Report, Preparation of tender documents and drawings, assistance in acquisition of clearances, assistance in bid and award of EPC Contract, Detailed Design, Construction services and Project Management.

The Formal Concurrence Letter of Demwe Lower DPR was accorded by CEA on 20th November 2009. Environment Clearance has been received from Ministry of Environment & Forests, Government of India on 12th February 2010. All the formalities are completed for the Forest Clearance, only official letter from MoEF is awaited. EIPL had completed the tender evaluation and assistance in award of EPC contract and the same has been awarded. The entire debt requirement for the project has been tied-up and the Combined Loan Agreement has been signed.

  KARUMA HYDRO-ELECTRIC PROJECT (600 MW):


600 MW Karuma Hydro Electric project is being implemented by Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD), Government of Uganda. Energy Infratech is providing consultancy services and Project Management services in two phases. In Phase-I, EIPL will provide consultancy services for Technical, Financial, Environmental Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) Studies, Project Design, Preparation of Bills of Quantities, Tendering and Procurement of a General Contractor and in Phase-II: Construction supervision and Testing and Commissioning of the project.

Works related to Phase – I commenced since September 2009 and Engineering Report was approved by MEMD, Uganda on April 14, 2011. The tender document prepared by EIPL has been approved by MEMD’s contract committee, PPDA & Solicitor General
.

   KHOLONGCHU HYDRO-ELECTRIC PROJECT (600 MW):


Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited is developing 600 MW Kholongchu Hydro Electric Project in Bhutan. Kholongchu Hydro Power Project is proposed as an R-O-R type development located on Kholongchu river in Trashi Yangtse District about 210 Km from Sandrup Jonkhar town. The project proposal envisages the construction of 95 m high concrete gravity dam from deepest foundation level. HRT running through a length of 15.77 Km. The underground power house is proposed to house four units of 150 MW capacity each.

Energy Infratech is providing consultancy services for Preparation of Feasibility Study Report (FSR) and Detailed Project Report (DPR) including Investigation Works for the project.

At present the Detailed Project Report prepared by EIPL is under review by CEA
.

   KYNSHI HYDRO-ELECTRIC PROJECT (270 MW):


The 270 MW Kynshi Stage-I Hydro Electric Project is being developed by Athena Kynshi Power Private Limited on Kynshi River in West Khasi Hill district in the State of Meghalaya.

Energy Infratech is providing Concept to Commissioning Services including Pre-Feasibility Studies, Pre-Construction Stage Investigations, Preparation of Detailed Project Report, and Environmental Studies including EIA & EMP Reports, Preparation of Tender drawings and Tender documents, assistance in Bid award of EPC contract, acquisition of all statutory and non-statutory clearances, Detailed Design, Construction Drawings and Project Management services.

At present the Survey and Investigation works are going on. The target for submission of Detailed Project Report is scheduled in the month of March 2012
.

 

    RONGNI CHU HYDRO-ELECTRIC PROJECT (96 MW):
96 MW Rongni Chu Hydro Electric Project is being developed by M/s Madhya Bharat Power Corporation Limited (MBPCL) in the state of Sikkim. Power Finance Corporation has sanctioned Rupee Term Loan to MBPCL for setting up the subject project. Energy Infratech is providing Lenders Engineer Services to Power Finance Corporation.
 
At present the project is in implementation stage.

    RANGIT -  IV HYDRO-ELECTRIC PROJECT (120 MW):

120 MW Rangit- IV Hydro Electric Project is being developed by Jal Power Corporation Limited. Located in the state of Sikkim. Rangit Stage IV Hydro Electric Project being a run - of - river scheme envisages utilization of the waters of Rangit River, for generation of hydropower. Power Finance Corporation has sanctioned Rupee Term Loan to M/s Jal Power Corporation Ltd. (JPCL) for setting up the subject project. PFC as the Lead Financial Institution appointed Energy Infratech as Lenders’ Engineer (LE) for the project.
 
At present the project is in implementation stage.


    GULLU HYDRO-ELECTRIC PROJECT (24 MW):


24 MW Gullu Hydro Electric Project is being implemented by Chhattisgarh Hydro Power LLP. The project is located in the Ib River, a tributary of River Mahanadi, located in District Jashpur in the state of Chhattisgarh.
 
Energy Infratech is providing Engineering consultancy services for review of design & special studies, Tender design, bid and award, detailed design & Engineering works and inspection/testing & commissioning.

   JORETHANG HYDRO-ELECTRIC PROJECT (96 MW):


96 MW Tashiding Hydro Electric Project is being implemented by DANS Energy Private Limited. The project is located in the South/West Districts of Sikkim. Jorethang Hydro Power Project is proposed as an R-O-R type development located on Rangit River in the South/West Sikkim Districts. The project proposal envisages the construction of 15 m high barrage above the crest level, HRT running through a length of 6.780 Km. The surface power house is proposed to house two units with rated capacity of 48 MW each and the evacuation of power is proposed through a 14 km long transmission line.
 
Energy Infratech is providing Detailed Design and Drawings in respect of Civil Engineering works and review of Hydro Mechanical and Electro Mechanical works.

   NALO HYDRO-ELECTRIC PROJECT (360 MW):


Indus Hydro Power (India) Private Limited is developing 360 MW Nalo Hydro Electric Project located in Subansiri River in Arunachal Pradesh. The Project envisaged for the installation of four units of 86 MW and a single unit of 16 MW, operating under the rated net head of 115.75m.

Energy Infratech is providing consultancy services for Preparation of Detailed Project Report and Environment Impact Assessment/ Environment Management Plan preparation, Assistance in obtaining clearances from CEA/MoEF for the project and Technical Assistance in completion of Financial Appraisal by Lead Lender.

At present the Pre – Feasibility Report has been prepared and submitted to MoEF and State Government.

 ANJAW HYDRO-ELECTRIC PROJECT (280 MW):


Lohit Urja Private Limited is developing 7x40 MW Anjaw Hydro Electric Project located in Anjaw District in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. The Project envisages barrage type diversion structure with a height of 26m above crest level. The total Catchment Area is 16430 sq. km

Energy Infratech is providing Concept to Commissioning Services including Pre-construction stage investigations, preparation of Pre-Feasibility Report, preparation of Detailed Project Report, Preparation of tender documents and drawings, assistance in acquisition of clearances, assistance in bid and award of EPC Contract, Detailed Design, Construction services and Project Management.

At present, Topo Survey and River Cross-section survey is completed. PFR has been submitted to MOE&F and ToR has been approved from MoEF. Water availability studies submitted to CEA/CWC have been approved in November 2011. Sub-Surface Investigation map has been sent to site for initiating investigations.


 GONGRI HYDRO-ELECTRIC PROJECT (96 MW):


Dirang Energy Private Limited is implementing 2x72 MW Gongri Hydroelectric project located near to Dirang Town in the West Kameng District on Gongri River, right bank tributary of Bichom River, part of the Kameng basin, in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.
 
Energy Infratech is providing engineering consultancy services for review and upgrading Detailed Project Report of the project and providing assistance in obtaining Techno-economic Clearances of the DPR from Central Electricity Authority (CEA).

 DIKCHU HYDRO-ELECTRIC PROJECT (96 MW):


96 MW Dikchu Hydro Electric Project is being implemented by Haridwar Infrastructure Private Limited (HIPL). The project is located in the East and North Districts of Sikkim.

Energy Infratech is providing Detailed Engineering Designs and Construction Drawings in respect of Civil Engineering works, Hydro-Mechanical works and Electro-Mechanical works; Transmission lines and preparation of Technical Specifications for individual items of works as envisaged for implementation of the project.


 TASHIDING HYDRO-ELECTRIC PROJECT (97 MW):


97 MW Tashiding Hydro Electric Project is being implemented by Shiga Energy Private Limited. The project is located in the West Districts of Sikkim. Tashiding Hydro Power Project is proposed as an R-O-R type development located on Rathangchu River in West Sikkim District. The project proposal envisages the construction of 20 m high barrage above the crest level. HRT running through a length of 5.437 Km. The surface power house is proposed to house two units with rated capacity of 48.5 MW each and the evacuation of power is proposed through a 27 km long transmission line.

Energy Infratech is providing Detailed Design and Drawings in respect of Civil Engineering works and review of Hydro Mechanical and Electro Mechanical works.


 



THERMAL POWER PROJECTS

 COCANADA COMBINED CYCLE POWER PROJECT:

2600 MW Cocanada Combined Cycle Power project has two stages. 1st Stage is of 1000 MW and 2nd Stage is of 1500 MW subject to the availability of Gas. This project is proposed to be located in the coastal region of Bay of Bengal near Komaragiri village, near Kakinada in East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. Energy Infratech has signed an agreement for providing services from “Concept to Commissioning” which include the engineering and management services.

ToR for EIA for the project is cleared by Ministry of Environment and Forest. General Layout for the project is prepared and land acquisition is under progress.

 

 2640 MW BHAVANAPADU COAL FIRED THERMAL POWER PROJECT: 


2640MW Bhavanapadu Coal Fired Thermal Power Project is being set up by East Coast Energy Private Limited at Kakarapalli village, Srikakulam District, Andhra Pradesh in two stages of 1320MW (2 x 660 MW) each. This project is located on the coast of Bay of Bengal relying upon de-salinated sea water and a new coal jetty to handle imported coal which would meet part of the fuel requirements. 
It is proposed to adopt supercritical cycle parameters with unit size of 660MW to get advantage of higher generation efficiencies and reduced environmental impact. 
Energy Infratech is Design & Engineering Consultant and rendering Project Management Services for the project.  




Athena Chhattisgarh Power Private Limited is developing 2X600 MW Singhitarai Thermal Power Project in Chhattisgarh. Energy infratech Private Limited is providing Concept to Commissioning Services including Pre – construction stage investigation, preparation of Detailed Project Report, Preparation of tender documents and drawings, assistance in Construction Services and Project Management Services for completion of 1200 MW Singhitarai Thermal Power Project.
The Singhitarai TPP is proposed to adopt subcritical cycle parameters for the power cycle to be more efficient and competitive in the market. Captive coal block has been allotted for the project. Project is already on fast track by achieving the milestone by signing Power Purchase Agreement for sale of total power (1100MW) generated with PTC on 06.05.09.
Project status as on July 2009
·          Public hearing completed on January 2009
·          MoEF Clearance received on 17th July 2009.
·          125 acres of project land already been acquired for the project
·          Official letter from MoEF is expected to get in July 2009 for the Environment clearance for the project
·          Airport Authority Clearance is obtained
·          Engineering activities for the Project is in progress


 


1980 MW Thermal Power Project is being developed by Krishnapatnam Power Corporation Limited in Chhattisgarh, India. The project is planned to be developed in two stages (2x 660 MW) in stage –I, and (1x 660 MW) in stage –II.

Energy Infratech Private Limited is providing Project Conceptualization, Project Management and Engineering till FC, followed by Detailed Engineering, Project Monitoring, Constriction Supervision and Project Management Services.
Project Status as on July 2009
·          DBRs preparation for the Project completed for all the systems
·          Applications & required documentation for obtaining Statutory Clearances were forwarded and Draft EPC spec (Technical) was submitted for review.
·          Public hearing completed successfully on 4th December, 2008.
·          Submitted the revised RFP for EPC.
·          Bids are invited for EPC.
·         Received KPCL comments on draft DPR. Expected to submit the revised document by is week July 09.
